Service Description

Step into the past with Ping, a master storyteller whose family ties to the Singapore River go back more than a century. On this immersive walking tour, you'll explore the forgotten corners and vibrant stories of Robertson Quay, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, and Fort Canning. With Ping as your guide, discover the secrets that even locals don’t know — from a vanished island to an ancient kingdom. Lunch will be at one of Singapore’s best Hainanese Chicken Rice restaurants, and the tour will end at a riverside resto-bar at Boat Quay where an ice-cold Tiger Beer (or soda) awaits you. Highlights: 1) Find out about the island in the Singapore River which vanished in 1991. 2) Step into the tranquil oasis of the beautifully restored Hong San See Temple (established in 1836). 3) Admire the unique, eclectic architecture of Singapore's heritage shophouses. 4) Learn about fascinating Hindu festivals at Sri Thendayuthapani Temple (established in 1859). 5) Uncover remnants of the Kingdom of Singapura which existed from 1299 to 1398. 6) Climb up an abandoned Fort Gate at Fort Canning Park for a look at the surrounding verdant greenery. 7) Tuck into one of Singapore’s best Hainanese Chicken Rice. 8) Enjoy an ice-cold Tiger Beer (or soda) at Boat Quay.
